Widescreen and 2142 and audio

Fixed it.

Go here:
C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\0001

0001 is my profile for snowmanimal. don't go into default, it wont matter.

once inside, open audio.con with notepad, turn anything VOIP from 1 to 0. Scroll to the bottom or look at the bottom option, should be EAX, turn that off (0)

AudioSettings.setVoipEnabled 0
AudioSettings.setVoipPlaybackVolume 0
AudioSettings.setVoipCaptureVolume 0
AudioSettings.setVoipCaptureThreshold 0.1
AudioSettings.setVoipBoostEnabled 0
AudioSettings.setVoipUsePushToTalk 0
AudioSettings.setProvider "software"
AudioSettings.setSoundQuality "Medium"
AudioSettings.setEffectsVolume 0.5
AudioSettings.setMusicVolume 0
AudioSettings.setHelpVoiceVolume 0.5
AudioSettings.setEnglishOnlyVoices 0
AudioSettings.setEnableEAX 0

I turned off the music and turned down sound effects. I cannot go into my audio in the game because it crashes. So I have to do it from the audio configuration file. Let me know how that works.

Also, did you put the +widescreen switch after the game?
"D:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\2142\BF2142.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200

I deleted menu +1 and windowed +1, doesnt really matter. Just add those switches to the end.
